Box of lies with Adele
An activity to practice descriptions (or even relative clauses) and to develop your student's creativity.
Time: 10-15 mins
Level: A2-B1 on
Materials: this video and the two separate sideshows for your students.
You can show the first round of this epiode of box of lies or choose another celebrity your students might prefer (Gal Gadot, Matt Demon, Jennifer Lawrence, Emma Stone... etc.)
Procedure:
1. Show your students the first round of this video (00.00-02.25) , in which Jimmy Kimmel explains the rules of the game.
2. Pair up your students.
3. Ask them to grab their phones and access the two sideshows (via the links or the QR codes) but don't show the pictures to each other.

4. Ask your students to take turns and describe the objects to each other. However, everyone must lie about their object at least once during the game. (It's very important, in order to develop their creativity.)
You can propose them extra challenges based on the grammar point you want to practice: e.g. they have to use relative clauses while describing their objects... etc.)
5. Monitor the students while they're doing the activity.
6. You can ask for some feedback - ask who described the most bizarre object, e.g.
